Project Summary

MaRS Trans USA LLC has completed a BIM building project in Michigan successfully. It is a corporate building spanned over 10,000 sq.m. The three-floor building possessed multiple office spaces and rooms. The building aimed to provide an all-inclusive characteristic that helped the clients in selling it. The properties of the building were to be highlighted at their best.

The project outcome for this structural building included a BIM model and BIM coordination up to LOD 400. We also provided shop drawings to our clients. We have also provided 3D views along with the model. This has enhanced the BIM project quality significantly.

Challenges

The MEP buildings are always a little complex to design because of the risk associated with them. This particular building design was a bit complex in itself and that was the challenging part. The architect and designer had done a fabulous job in creating the base of the design and it made the building design stand out. But bringing the design into the 3D BIM model accurately was a task. The MEP features were to be incorporated carefully so that later on all the installations and fabrications happen smoothly.

Solutions

Our adept team of engineers was on putting out the design in the most precise form. It took quality effort from our side to make everything great. All the information was carefully inserted into the BIM model for getting an accurate result. This facilitated the MEP designs and gave an edge to the BIM model for the building. We were able to overcome the challenges and come up with an all-around solution with proper teamwork.
